In order to help you decide on the right class for you, we have created a leveling system. Below you will find descriptions of each level. Difficulty varies from class to class but all students are welcome in all of our classes. Our skilled teachers will provide options so that the class is appropriate for each and every individual.

Level I/Gentle: These gentle classes are accessible to almost everyone. They involve breath and movement, easier and modified postures, body awareness, gentle stretching and strengthening, and relaxation. If you prefer a slower and practice, or just want the opportunity to slow down and relax, you will benefit from these classes.

Level I/II: Level I/II classes are best for people who have some familiarity with yoga poses. Participants hold postures for longer periods of time, and more advanced postures will be introduced. Modifications will be provided to help each student work at his or her appropriate level.

Level II: Second level classes are best for people who have been practicing for some time, are fairly strong, and are familiar with common yoga postures and pranayama. These classes work with more challenging sequences that cultivate mental and physical strength and stamina.

Balance Yoga offers a variety of private and group sessions. If you have taken a break from yoga or are new to yoga and would like to have a private class before joining one of our regular classes, we are happy to work with you. This can occur in person or online. In addition, we offer private group classes for friends or family that wish to practice together. If you are interested in a yoga therapy session with Kerry, she is scheduling these in-person or online. These sessions vary depending on the desired focus. Some people are working on injury recover, some are looking for a customized yoga routine to help with strength, stress or flexibility and others are interested in exploring ways to reduce anxiety.
