Before the busyness of the holiday season, escape to one of the most beautiful parts of Vermont for a rejuvenating yoga retreat with Kerry Walker, owner of Balance Yoga and fellow senior teacher Maggie Mae Anderson.

Allow yourself two full nights and three days to unwind, stretch, be pampered, and truly relax by the side of a brook surrounded by forests and changing leaves.

Each day you will have the option to attend a meditation class, two different yoga classes (including a 2 hour Restorative Yoga with massage class), take a dip in the streamside pool, rest in the sauna, take a nap, read a book, soak your feet in an herbal foot bath, and pamper yourself with a face mask to help soothe the body and quiet the mind. Both Kerry and Maggie Mae are experienced massage therapists and you are free to schedule a massage with either one during your weekend. There will be three delicious meals each day and plenty of time to explore the beautiful property. Mt. Mansfield is right out the back door and there are miles of trails to explore. If you are feeling adventurous, Maggie Mae will be leading a group up Mt. Mansfield on Friday afternoon.

Friday October 4th

  • Early check-in-12:00 pm-Maggie Mae will lead a hike up Mt. Mansfield (trail leaves from the property.)
  • Feel free to arrive any time from noon on. There will be a light dinner served at 6:00.
  • Restorative Yoga with Massage in the barn from 7:30-9:30pm.

Saturday, October 5th

  • Morning Meditation

  • Foot soaks and facials

Sunday, October 6th

Retreat cost: $250 + room and board

  • Food – Meals will be sourced locally when ever possible. Vegetables and grains will make up most of the meal but meat will also be available. Please let us know if you have dietary restrictions. (2 breakfasts, 2 lunches, 2 dinners) $150
  • Rooms – The house has 8 bedrooms that vary in size, layout and price thus providing options at different costs. Rooms will be booked on a first come first serve basis. To see images of the rooms (although they do not do them justice) visit Squabetty’s home site.

Room Descriptions

  • Solarium – A beautiful full sized suite with a full sized bed, full bath and spacious sun room. $150/night for up to 2 people.
  • Mountain Room – Cozy and quaint, this room has a full sized bed and a twin, a private full bath and fully stocked bookshelves. $125/night for up to 2 people.
  • Mom and Dad’s Room – A spacious suite that feels more like your own apartment featuring a small kitchen, living room, balcony and a bedroom with a full sized bed and bathroom with a standing shower. $125/night for up to 2 people.
  • Brookside – Open your windows and fall asleep to the sounds of the rushing brook nearby. Space for three with a full sized bed and a twin. Shares a bathroom with the neighboring room. $110/night for up to two people. $40 more for a third person.
  • Helen’s Room – Tucked in and sweet, Helen’s room is a cozy room with a full sized bed and shares a bathroom with the guests in the neighboring room. It is suitable for a single person. $75/night.
  • Guest Room – Comfortable and affordable the Guest Room offers two twin beds and shares a bathroom with a tub (no shower) with the neighboring room. $65/night/person.
  • Bunk Room – The name says it all! A rustic and comfortable space with room for three with a bunk bed and one twin. Shares a bathroom with the neighboring room. $65/night/person.
  • Dick’s Room – This is the smallest room in the house and has the feel of a sleeping porch. It has a twin bed and a sink and its occupant will use the house bathroom. $50/night.

If you prefer to pay with a credit card, there will be a 3% processing charge.

Cancellation policy: Full refund (minus $50 processing fee) if cancelled more than 30 days in advance. If cancelled between 14 and 29 days before the retreat-50% refund. No refund for cancellations within 13 days of the retreat. Your space is transferable though.
